Helpful information for your Tiny Wild House stay

After-hours Emergency

In the event of an after hours issue or noise complaint, call our Duty Manager on 5533 3622 and press 9 to be transferred. For evacuations, please follow the instructions on the diagram on your apartment door. For serious or life threatening emergencies, dial 000.

No Smoking

This is a smoke-free zone. We do not allow smoking in the Tiny Wild Houses, on the veranda, or in the immediate surroundings. A cleaning fee of $250 will be charged if there is evidence of smoking. We appreciate your cooperation in this instance.

 Gas Fire at the Gathering Place

Guests of the Tiny Wild Houses are welcome to use the shared gathering place for their own entertainment. Here you’ll find a gas fireplace, which has some specific safety and operational instructions which you’ll find below:

Operating instructions:

  1. Remove the dome lid before activating the fire.
  2. The activation switch is located on the wall above the steel benches, undercover.
  3. Press this button once and release.
  4. A single blue light will flash, you’ll hear a ticking noise, indicating that the fire is starting.
  5. The fire will ignite
  • Never remove the decorative wood or coals
  • Never add any wood or other items inside the fire
  • Ensure you place the dome lid back onto the fire when you’re finished using it.

PLEASE NOTE: Wood and Coals in fireplace are DECORATIVE ONLY. Do not remove, or add any wood or other items to the fireplace.

Usage of the fireplace and surrounding shared Gathering Place is exclusively for guests of the Tiny Wild Houses only

Bedside Lamps

Your Tiny Wild House is equipped with two hideaway bedside lamps recessed into the wall above your bed. These lights are automatically activated when they are twisted outward. To twist your light outward, push in on one side of the light (the black circle above your bed), which will allow you to twist and rotate the light at your preferred angle and direction. 

Laundry

A coin operated guest laundry is located within the rainforest campsite facilities should you require it during your Tiny Wild House stay. The rainforest campsite is located next to the Tea House cafe and reception desk. Find the laundry on the campsite map, here.

Bar

Bar service is open and available at both the Binna Burra Tea House and the Groom’s Cottage ‘Bushwalker’s Bar‘ – Click on their links to view the opening hours and menu for each venue.

Reception & Shop Hours

A range of gifts, clothing items and self guiding brochures pertaining to the surrounding walking tracks can be found in the gift shop and purchased at reception.
Monday – Sunday: 8am – 5pm

Takeaway food packs

You can purchase some delicious locally sourced breakfast and BBQ packs from the Tea House. Note, there is at least a 2 hour wait on takeaway breakfast and BBQ packs so please order in advance.
