Eat Local, Be Happy - At Binna Burra Kitchen

'We love the concept behind Scenic Rim Farmbox.' said Jonathan Fisher, CEO of Binna Burra Lodge which also operates the Binna Burra Kitchen (BBK) at the old school site in Beechmont.

'While it has been born out of the COVID-19 lockdown period I think the Farmbox idea will last many years after we get through this pandemic. It's not only a way of connecting Scenic Rim producers with city consumers but it enables places like Binna Burra Kitchen here at Beechmont to help promote and provide an outlet for local fresh farm products.

'Also, when we can reopen Binna Burra Lodge in September, the Farmbox concept will provide a great new service to our guests coming back into the Binna Burra side of the Lamington National Park.'

At the Binna Burra Kitchen, tireless efforts have gone into ensuring that the bulk of the suppliers are sustainable businesses, grown and manufactured in Australia and to the best standard.

The Kitchen now has a small providore area which has a special focus on local Scenic Rim farm products - vegetables, fruits, milk, cheese, meats and so on.

'We can't wait to share our old school hospitality with visitors to BBK' said Jonathan Fisher.

'Binna Burra Lodge has always been firmly committed to sustainable and economical practices and shares these commitments in the Binna Burra Kitchen.'

Scenic Rim Farm Box is a ‘farm to you’ home delivery business that delivers the region’s best produce, products and locally produced wine and beer to customers in Brisbane and beyond, making it easy to eat local every week.
