Helpful information for your Rainforest Campsite stay


There are 6 free to use hot plate barbecues available for all guests to use at Binna Burra. You can find them throughout our campsite and in the National Park public use areas.

Guest Laundry/Kitchen

Located in the campsite amenities block, the guest laundry has washing machines and dryers. Laundry powder is available at reception on request. There is also a microwave in this room as well as hot water and wash up sinks. 

Boiling Water

There are boiling water urns available for all guests to use in the laundry/washup amenities building in the campsite. Please use caution when using these urns. 

Wash Up Facilities

You can find our wash-up facilities in the laundry and amenities building mentioned above.

No Smoking

This is a smoke-free zone. We do not allow smoking in the Sky Lodges or campsite, on the balconies, or the immediate surroundings. A cleaning fee of $250 will be charged if there is evidence of smoking. We appreciate your cooperation in this instance.

Bar service is open from 10am to 4pm at the Binna Burra Tea House and 4pm until 8pm, served from Grooms Cottage 'Bushwalker's Bar' - Perfect for enjoying the golden sunset over the pristine Scenic Rim from one of the last remaining Heritage Buildings at Binna Burra.

Reception & Shop Hours

A range of gifts, clothing items and self guiding brochures pertaining to the surrounding walking tracks can be found in the gift shop and purchased at reception.
Monday – Sunday: 8am – 5pm

Takeaway food packs

You can purchase some delicious locally sourced BBQ packs from the reception store. These can be cooked on the communal BBQs throughout the campsite and National Park day use area.

We have partnered with locally operated adventure company ParkTours to get you exploring the great outdoors. Take your pick from archery, guided park tours and full-day hikes, spotlighting night walks, yoga, Qi Gong, kids club and more! View some of our favourite activities below:


Guided adventures through Lamington National Park. Some of these walks are rated as the best in Australia by Australian Geographic and offer a range of different distances and attractions.


Everyone loves to shoot arrows. In fact, archery has been around for almost 15,000 years and was once critical to human survival. Our guides will explain how to hold the bow and aim for the target.


Kids love Binna Burra, and we strive to ensure our younger guests are not forgotten! We have a great range of activities to keep the kids entertained during your stay with us.


Start your day with outdoor Yoga or the ancient energising practice of Qi Gong. These are both gentle classes designed to connect you to yourself and the surrounding natural world.
