Binna Burra Kitchen, Beechmont
Licensed cafe and General Store in the old school, Beechmont
Details: Binna Burra Kitchen is located at the old school Beechmont, operated by the Binna Burra team. Our mission is to support the community and to eat local!
Binna Burra Kitchen is a licensed cafe with various beers on tap and wine straight from the barrel. The food is modern Australian style and the menu is made almost entirely with locally sourced produce. You'll love it! You can buy most menu ingredients from the recently started Providore store inside BBK, so you can take a slice of the Scenic Rim home with you.

Hinze Dam, walk & lookout
Unique views and an all-flat walk over the Dam Wall edging along the lake.
Details: Hinze Dam may be the Gold Coast’s chief water catchment but, with its stunning hinterland setting, state of the art information centre and onsite View Cafe, wall walk, picnic grounds, pathways, secluded fishing coves and mountain bike trail it is also a great destination for tourists, day-trippers and locals.
From the café, there’s the option of checking out the grounds below via a series of short circuitous pathways that wind their way to the dam’s edge via landscaped gardens, where a couple of giant concrete and timber structures create the sense of viewing the dam through a framed picture.
Canungra village and shops
Canungra is a vibrant country village nestled in the Gold Coast Hinterland
Details: Originally a timber mill town, Canungra is now known as the gateway to the World Heritage Listed Lamington National Park. It is well known for its natural beauty and friendly country hospitality.
The town has retained its old-world charm and is a popular destination with day-trippers, motorcyclists, hang-gliders, paragliders, birdwatchers, and bushwalkers.
Rosins Lookout, Beechmont
A lookout with a little more than what you'd bargain for
Details: On your way to Binna Burra through the Scenic Rim, a must-stop along the way is the one and only Rosins Lookout Conservation Park which has incredible views of the mountainous ranges bordering the QLD & NSW borders.
Situated in the stunning countryside of Southern Queensland, it is only an hour and a half's drive south from Brisbane. An easy day trip or a weekend escape, the windy roads with views of the Gold Coast Hinterland provide some beautiful "pit-stops" along the way to relax and take in the view with plenty of activities on offer also.
Syd Duncan Park & Lookout, Beechmont
A breathtaking lookout and lunch spot in Lower Beechmont
Details: Syd Duncan Park is now home to its first community-built nature play space, which includes a dry creek bed, timber structures for physical and imaginative play, a tunnels embankment slide, basketball court, and more.
