Just five days after the devasting bushfires at Beechmont and Binna Burra Lodge the Prime Minister of Australia (Hon Scott Morrison) visited the site and met with our Chairperson, Steve Noakes to discuss immediate response and recovery efforts. The PM was accompanied by Hon David Littleproud, Federal Minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency and Hon Scott Buchholz, our local Federal member of Parliament (electorate of Wright) and Assistant Minister for Road Safety and Freight Transport. Over the next 12 months until Binna Burra was able to reopen, we greatly appreciated the various forms of support that came from the coordinated efforts of numerous Federal, State and Local government agencies.
