ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Following the devastating bush fires of Summer 2019, Binna Burra Mountain Lodge & Rainforest Campsite, Park Tours, O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat and Mt Barney Lodge have collaborated through Brisbane Economic Development Agency with the support of the National Bushfire Recovery Agency and the Queensland Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, Tourism and Events Queenslandand and Scenic Rim Regional Council to celebrate the regeneration of nature and collectively strive to elevate the environmental significance moving forward.
Today, the area known as the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia includes the oldest examples of the world’s ferns and conifers. Over 200 species of rare or threatened plant and animal species call these rainforests home, and you can find beech trees up to 3,000 years old.
The Festival Program is being updated regularly on the website and sign-up to receive the latest news on the Festival via the e-news form below.
