Leaving at dawn on Boxing Day\, they arrived at Binna Burra eleven days later\, just in time for a Binna Burra lunch.\n\n\nYou will:\n\nhear the story of young Gordon Holden\, Trevor Howes and Frank Windeatt and their adventures at Binna Burra.\n\n\nYou will:\n\nget inspired to plan your own adventure.\n\n\nYour facilitator: Gordon Holden was an architecture student when he undertook the One Great Trip with his friends Trevor Howes and Frank Windeatt. Gordon went on to a distinguished academic career\, eventually becoming foundation head of architecture at Griffith University where he is now Emeritus Professor.

DESCRIPTION:In this 3 hour workshop you will make your very own print using a historical photographic process called Cyanotype \n\nAbout this event\n\nHave you ever created a photograph without a camera?\nIn this 3 hour workshop you will make your very own print using a historical photographic process called Cyanotype\, and how to use Sunlight to create your print\, so you can do it again in your backyard or on a balcony!\n\n\nYou will learn:\n\nHow to make cyanotypes\nAbout the light sensitive solution\nSupports & coating techniques\n\n\nYou will create a print using:\n\nNatural materials\nFound objects\nSunlight\n\n\n\n\nSupplies:\n\nCyanotype materials and some objects will be supplied\, but feel free to bring your own small\, 2D or 3D (slim or flat) item (such as pieces of lace\, fabric\, string\, a plant cutting\, jewellery) to use in your composition.\n\n\nYour facilitator: Dr Renata Buziak\, photomedia artist\, researcher and educator. Her photographic research is based in plant life\, and she has a PhD in Visual Art from Queensland College of Art\, Griffith University.\nRenata’s art has been displayed in solo and group exhibitions\, nationally and internationally.
