While auctions ground to a halt over the Christmas-New Year period, it has been offthe- plan projects chalking up the sales. After honeymooning at Binna Burra Mountain Lodge 30 years ago, Greg and Alison Lewis couldn't resist the chance to buy a Sky Lodge apartment in the heart of the World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park. The Toowoomba couple have been holidaying at Binna Burra ever since their honeymoon and spent the recent Christmas and New Year there as well. Sky Lodge project manager Tim Medhurst said 11 of the 18 apartments, which are now under construction, have been sold. The highest price achieved to date was $1.08 million for a three bedroom, dual-key apartment. He said many were buying for sentimental reasons with buyers coming mainly from Brisbane suburbs, although there was a Melbourne and Canberra buyer also in the mix. Mr Medhurst said the sales price included a furniture package. Contact Sky Lodges project manager Tim Medhurst on 0417 068682.
