Stay in Arthur Grooms original cottage
65 years ago, Arthur Groom (co-founder of Binna Burra) built this wonderful cottage as his family home. The cottage has been preserved, and is a charming facility for large or small groups.
Over the years, the facility was transformed into the EEC (Environmental Education Centre) and was of recent years used as a study centre for the LNHA (Lamington Natural History Association).
Groom's Cottage is now available to hire. It is equipped with kitchenette facilities including fridge-freezer, small stove, microwave and wood-burner.
This rustic timber cottage has an adjacent four-room bunkhouse with a total of 36 beds (9 beds in each). It is a perfect facility for University & School groups. The bunkhouse rooms are basic and just a stone's throw away you'll find showers and toilets, gas barbeque, plate wash-up area, coin operated clothes washing/drying facilities.
Accommodation at the Cottage itself comprises 7 single beds and vanities in two upstairs rooms, making it an ideal accommodation for teachers, leaders or parents.
The total cost to hire the cottage and the bunkhouse is $450.00 per night or $12 pp if you have a group of 30 students or more.
Linen can be hired to fit the single beds of the cottage and the bunkhouse at an additional fee of $11 per single bed includes, sheet, doona, doona cover, pillow, pillow case and towel.
On-site Safari Tents:
In the campgrounds Binna Burra offers 15 safari tents available for hire. These include 3x 6 man, 9x 4 man and 3x 2 man which consist of a double bed, bunks or single beds depending on the maximum people per tent. The safari tents have a light, fly screen windows, side tables and a table and chairs with a linoleum floor.

Camping
For a more adventurous style camp, students have the opportunity to supply their own tents and sites are available at the Campsite.

Undercover BBQ areas with picnic tables and coin operated BBQs are available for groups to use and fire pits are permanently placed in the camping and safari tent areas. Wood can be purchased from Binna Burra at an additional charge of $15 for a 20kg bag. Amenities include hot and cold showers, toilets a coin operated laundry and wash up area.
